  • At 0.25 and 0.28 is where I come from. Slieve Gallion and the old Keenaught Chapel in Desertmartin in County Derry.

  • @Megadec87

Iontach! My great great grandma is buried at Keenaught Chapel. That is her gravestone at the beginning and the ruins of the family home for generations in Carncose. I was told the right side of Slieve Gallion is still called by my family name. I went there for the first time in 07. We may be related : )

  • Superb video , great song , great images

HenryIIV devot Catholic but fell out with the Pope. Too long to go into. Ireland rightly wishing to be free sided with France + Spain and helped them to try to invade England. Pope give dispensation to anyone who killed Elisabeth Tudor. She said 'I will not make a window into men's souls' and refused to act against her Catholic subjects. They never betrayed her. You must expand your knowledge of history to understand. R Catholism was much feared, very brutal.

  • @MrTamadrummer3

We planted no warning bombs in British cities. Same no. killed as in the twin towers 3000 many of them children. English tolerant of religious beliefs. RC Church has much power in Ireland and influence with Irish Government. Put Irish history in to the context of European history. Famine awful corn laws should have been repelled at once nothing done to help us but we must move on. Expand you reading learn the contributing factors in our history. I wish you well you seem nice.

  • @MsMaynes This is the last time I will bother to reply on this matter because you and I will never agree. I am No "Biggot" nor am I a "Racist". It wasn't the Irish or Ireland that oppressed the English, or tried to commit Genocide. England and the Crown ave LOT to appoligise to other countries for, sadly as does the U.S.A. Yes the Irish have done their share of blood shed, but THEY weren't the ones trying to destroy another people and their culture. This is History, not my Opinion.

  • @MsMaynes This is the last time I will bother with this silly debate, because neither of us will agree with the other. I am no "Biggot" and I am also no "Racist", I don't belive in the Extinguishing of another Race OR People, because of anything. England Has and STILL has deep disdain for The Irish people AND Their Religous/Spiritual Belifes.

The Irish may have done their blood shed, but it wasn't IRISH People Opressing English People! Or Driving them to foreigne lands.

Britain declared war on Germany when she marched into Poland. All Irish soldiers were volunteers At least 10000 were killed. My father was in the Royal Artillary his regiment liberate Belsen. His 23 yr old friend from Dublin he was captured by the Germans and beheaded It is estimated that at least 8 million people died in concentration camps. Is it not time to set aside of our past as the people in those camps have done and let the young people of Ireland look to the future?

  • @MrTamadrummer3

Cousin not excecuted. Only the ringleaders were excecuted. Britain showed great restraint this was 1916! Others unharmed. Pearce was being armed by Germany while young Irish men were dying in France to preserve the Atonomy of small Nations. Britain declared war on Germany when she annexed Belgium. USA who signed the same treaty did not become involved until the sinking of the Lusitania six mths before the war ended. I have to say you are both a Racist and a Bigot about England

  • @MrTamadrummer3

You appear to me to be woefully misinformed about Irish, English + European History. During WWI the young English served with the Irish and developed a liking+respect for them. In the middle of this slaughter Padraig Pearse wanted the blood of young men spilt on Irish soil. He shot dead an unarmed police man. Pearse surrendered after the uprising my grandfather's 16 yrs old cousin was with him. He and 14 others excecuted. This led to a Civil War and the Partition of Ireland.

England thrives on trade. She is a great seafaring Nation. The European Nations sought out people to trade with. When they landed and began to trade when the people rightly resented them. They usurped the local tribes in order to facilitate trade. This was always done under the banner of the Church as it was seen as 'saving' the heathens and promoting the message of Christainity. It was wrong but the British were better masters that most. Now friends with former Colonies.
