16mm silent b&w film

For this assignment we had to use parallel action, which is cutting repeatedly between two separate events that may or may not be related. Most of the time they are.

I wanted to be bold with this project and focus on tracking shots. The bike shots were taken from inside of my friend's car trunk, while the running shot(s) used a makeshift track dolly. Unfortunately most of the dolly shots I took did not come out that well because it was difficult to keep the camera and tripod steady (it was essentially a wooden board with rollerskates on top of a bunch of connectable pipes).

Also, unfortunately the digitalization process and then the subsequent compression of this film really took away a lot of the beauty of some of the shots. The original is much richer and not nearly as washed-out looking.
