@mojoesterling actually a Red Texas is a type of flowerhorn, it itself is a hybrid, between a King Kong Parrot and Herichthys carpintis, so yeah your right, just ignorant to the fact that there is a known hybrid called a Red Texas, or a Super Red Texas rather because it has faded.

@Gage727 Relax my friend. To each his own, but this fish is definately a cross breed between a Texas Cichlid & a Red Devil. There is no such thing as a Red Texas. A purebred Texas Cichlid is predominantly green. A more appropriate name for these half breeds would be a Texas Devil Cichlid or something other than red texas. You don't have to pay extra for these fish---Just have to crossbreed the two. Cheers!!!

if i have a 2 two year old flowerhorns n add 8 3month flowerhorns in the tank would the 2 older ones kills the 3month flowerhorns ??

He is about 6 inches now. The one that says new tank is the one I traded this one in for. He is the one now 6 inches
