The First Day (2007)

AUDIO IS OPTIONAL! I decided I'd chuck it in there to give a bit of choice but the voice acting is pretty terrible. You won't be missing anything by watching it without audio (when I was making it I originally didn't intend for it to have audio, but thought it'd be cool to give it some... that's a years-old decision that pains my ears to listen back on). It's in an "animated comic" style. Feel free to pause on the speech bubble frames if they go too quickly for you and you don't want to hear the bad voiceover.

Also note that the frame rate is pretty low (8 fps), so it's not a problem with your connection if it looks choppy.

For my Media Studies class in Year 10, we had to make some sort of product about the times we had at work experience prior to that term of school. I made an animation in Microsoft PowerPoint based on a funny encounter with a pair of security people (I think they were cash escorts) when I did work experience at my local cinemas, but dramatised the outcome of that meeting (the "shoot the lock" quote was really said, although in real life I eventually managed to unlock the door with the code).

I've recently come to the realisation that this is actually the latest short film I've finished!
