"Your love brought me back". This is a beautiful and grown up scene showing the anatomy of an indestructible friendship, brought to cinematic heights with the amazing sky, the shimmering Wagnerian music and emotive acting. Too much modern cinema, fantastical or otherwise, is so vulgar, disingenuous and shallow - like an MTV video. In spite of the overblown production, there is something very honest and Shakespearean about Boorman's Excalibur.

Nicol Williamson was epic in this. Very underated movie.

When will the British rise again?
When we can tune ourselves with the souls of our ancestors.

Very well said. Losing a parent, the most hurtfull any of us will suffer. In 500+- AD losing Arthur, a loss still remembered today.

Too true, too true. You are a descendant of Arthur, not these multiculturalist Renaissance Faire liberals. The scene from this movie that resonates with me is when the knights and Arthur meet at the hill, victorious in every battle, proclaiming "We drov the invaders back into the sea!"

Nigel terry is underated plus hes is a beauty
He and druids, warlocks or witches were the path-seekers through the lands of mysteries.A dream help to many,a nightmare to the men of the cross and Church still.
this old rivalry for the souls of men in the not "middle eastern" lands.
Science steals and sucks all the dreams of mind/spirit with their only way of search..."one truth"

Faith in what one believes a balance of the sprit and of science. Your dreams can give you strength, science can give you a weapon to do battle with.

The music is by Trevor Jones and Richard Wagner. The soundtrack is one of the best.

the music which is super awesome german composer, Wagner, is the "prelude to Parfisal" (part of the Goetterdaemmerung, I think)....
Yes, it's awesome.. especially part 1 (don't like part 2 as much).
