Alba Iulia, Rather Peculiar

We found Alba Iulia a difficult place to get around, and not just because our hotel was a couple of kilometres out of town. Much of the citadel was under renovation, and we had to retrace our steps and miss seeing some of the tourist sights. They seem to be turning the citadel into some kind of theme park, complete with costumed guards and anomalies like a Japanese garden.
