i am stationed here in good ol KAF! im here to give a few updates,Poo Pond is still kicking! we had a canal bust and it flooded half of KAF with 4 ft of water not that long ago, the rocket attacks are still coming! and the noise from the jets are music to my ears. everything looks much nicer in the video than in person! we have a cat that hangs around the maintenance shop its to scared to let you touch it, but i give it Vienna sausages and tuna i receive from care packages.

I served on Roto 1, 2 and Roto 3 at the Role 3 MMU. I remember. I stood on the Ramp ceremonies for 38 fallen Canadians and looked after the 39th person where I could not stand on his . It is my regret I could not pay my respects. Appreciate what you have and don't sweat the small stuff. Family matters!

Wow thx for the memories....I used that 'rink' profusely in roto 6 and 8. I miss the base and the sirens...helo and jet noise....rocket attacks....even the d-fac food.....lol...
