@MentalSelfMutilation I don't know, there are some people who get a kick out of singing about 5 golden rings, 4 colly birds, 3 french hens, 2 turtle doves, and a partridge in a pear tree... A fairly arbitrary listing of random stuff, but hey still have a melodic, rhythmic quality that makes it fun. The fact that it is in Japanese gives the words in the song a musical quality. The equivalent English song about a sugar daddy giving his "baby" all sorts of things. (Hush little baby...)

@Pull63cat Forgot one thing. The music is really good, at least for being an OVA series.

@VicMignognaAnimeFan Not to bring spoilers around, but this series does not shy away from the hard stuff. It deals with the identity of oneself, the question of human evil, friendship, love and the potential cost of it all – packed into a sci-fi anime OVA series of some questionable production quality (animationwise). But once inside the story, everything else goes out the window. If you're easily drawn to drama series that mixes suspense with existential stuff, this may be right up your alley.

@SephYuyX You hit the bulls-eye.

the english version makes way more sense but they both still sound beautiful

Vegeta, what does the scouter say about Key's friend count??
...it's OVER 30,000!!!!

@aquamoon91 TT^TT I watched it like you said, and does Sakura REALLY die?!?! I was literally crying when she was dying!!!
-
@aquamoon91 It looks like she dies at the end of the video. Does she die?

@VicMignognaAnimeFan Her name is Key. The people in the stadium collapse after some machine sucked up all of their energy or most of it. She's singing so they can hear her kinda like giving them hope, at the end of the song she returns their energy to them, and finally returns into fully being human (after many years thinking she is a robot for her own safety, hiding the fact she has superpowers). Great anime, watch it o.o

I ones sang this to my self when I was really scared. It helped me very much
This comment has received too many negative votes show
This song and the stuff that's going on the clip kinda parody anime; I mean, honestly, the lyrics are stale listings of random animals/insects, and if she wasn't singing it in Japanese you guys wouldn't like it nearly as much.

Most all lullabies are silly and make no sense; it's usually not what's said that's important, but does it sound soothing and put the child to sleep.
