  • Nice one, Murray. Consisely captures your central mantras about the philosophy of instruction and flying. Make sure you keep fit so that I can still train with you when I have more money and time! Just to reiterate that the free Welsh accomodation for Precision Paragliding Pilots is still on offer.

  • Hi Dan, Fiona has finished Chemo/Radiation and may be down to Rhossilli to visit friends (/distant relatives) before x-mass so I am pushing the garage to finish the work on the pickup to get it back on the road for trips next year.

    :-)

  • Good to take advantage of things....managed a flight down Gleneagles myself.

  • Wether Hill launch? I've only even flown once, in the valley (south winds) from near the road, while waiting for the hill tops to clear of cloud before we headed up the Ochils for a day of tandem & solo training/flying :-)

  • best guess for flying locations on thursday the 5th ?

  • Conditions were a bit better than forecast.. so I headed out to fly a couple of south side of the River Tay sites late afternoon.

The first (higher) site (video to follow) was fine for 1/2 hr then it picked up to 20+kts gusts...

So down to meet Adian and check out the access points for another new (to Adian) higher site, before heading to the (low) field above the Tayport Layby (a good high wind location) for two TTB flights.. as the wind had dropped off towards sunset :-)

  • And nicely said Murray.

  • Much the same, high point of the road, up the hill opposite, flight down to land in fields before the woods get too heavy...bumpy though. See a chance, take it, I was on my way home form a rainy east lomond !

  • Well.. prob not Scotland for a great day's flying.....

Forecast:- Wind is likely to be N/NE, also the snyoptic shows a occluded front from the north arriving in the afternoon...

    MH

  • Another GREAT vid. Murray. ;-))
