Though the Armenian economy has been improving, IMO if the blockade continues, it will reach its maximum potential and level out. Both Iran and Georgia are unstable neighbors and opening borders with Turkey will allow access to the black sea ports, hence the european market. So I think it will do more good than bad. Sure no one wants Turkish goods in Armenia, but I read a report that turkish goods have already flooded armenian through Georgia.

Imagine we surrender Karabakh and Armenia gets another 120000 refugees, will this help economy? Does this guarantee lifting the blockade? Nope. As I said earlier: Turks want us to: a. surrender Artsakh; b. forget Genocide; c. ratify Kars treaty. After that you still have no guarantee you won't be blockaded. For example they can demand us to give up Meghry (this has been articulated by Turks many times).

Good points, however, refusing to cooperate with groups like OSCE and refusing to make any compromise will eventually lead to more isolation. The question is, will time be for Armenia or against Armenia. Azerbaijan oil revenues are begining to strengthen its economy and are furthuring the gap between the two countries. Our negotiating position can weaken as time passes.

Theoretically. In reality Azerbaijani Turks refuse ANY compromises, yet it is their stand that is supported. So it's rather about the unprofessionalism of Armenian diplomats, than about pressure from OSCE.

Back in 1990 Azerbaijanis had way more arms and much larger army, but they lost. The most important thing is whether we are really ready to fight back. All these talks about "compromises" destroy the willingnes to resist. And Azerbaijani propaganda machine contributes a lot to this talks.
