This is a collection of unique footage of the proceedings of the Volksgerichtshof, the "Nazi Peoples Court", which was specifically set up for political enemies.

In these 7 parts who will find comprehensive footage of the proceedings after the failed attempt of officers and civilians to kill Hitler on 20th July 1944.

I post these clips so that their memory won't be forgotten. These people had a conscience and were incredibly brave. They are role models for all of us. They knew that the failure of their actions would lead to death, but their aim was to prevent to total distruction of Germany and to end the unspeakable crimes of the Nazi Regime.

I am afraid that all this footage is in German language. However, there are other clips on youtube on which the ravings of Roland Freisler, Hitlers "blood judge", are translated.

However, these clips contain much more footage than was ever shown on youtube and outside Germany. This film is a real treasure for anybody who is interested in the actions of the men and women of the 20th July 1944 and the proceedings of the Nazi Peoples Court (Volksgerichtshof).

@Gruenkreuz100 Wir haben damals in der Schule diese Gerichtsverhandlung (ohne Untertitel) gesehen. Da ich einen deutschstämmigen Grossvater habe, konnte ich zumindest teilweise meinen Freunden übersetzen, was diese cholerische Rakete von sich gegeben hat, aber sobald Freisler einen Gang hochschaltet bin ich chancenlos...

So sehr ich Kriege und den Tot unschuldiger Menschen auch verachte - die Bombe, die Freisler weggefetzt hat, war gut investiert.

in Deutschland hat der Verrat eine lange Tradition, die Deutschen waren sich immer uneins....Bayern gegen Preussen, adliges Geschmeiß gegen schaffende Arbeiter und Bauern....in keinem anderen Land gab und gibt es so viele Verräter wie in Deutschland.

Auch heute wird Deutschland wider verraten , jedoch ohne das die "Demokraten" Angst vor einem Mitarbeiter haben müssten ,der seine Tasche unterm Tisch vergisst. Schöne neue Welt !

Also alles was ich in dieser schlechten Doku zu sehen bekomme ist ein einfacher Prozess der manipuliert wird und dann behauptet wird dass der Rest zu schlecht sei um gezeigt zu werden. Und der Erzähler quatscht die ganze Zeit dazwichen damit wir uns blos keine eigene Meinung bilden.

Quite funny to know that Freislers widow of cause got the pension due to her because of her husbands service as a german judge. The same logic applied to Heydrichs widow. He was not only a german governement official (as Protektor) but also chief of Interpol... so this is part of the reality which people do not well become aware off when they look at the "old movies" where everybody thinks that these people were 100 % devils. Their legal status wasin fact much more complicated after 1945.

It would have been better for Germany and the rest of the world that A.H.died on the 20.07.44. Also for himself. The total destruction of the state as we saw it happen was not the only way out of the war. As long as AH was alive the allied had no reason to deal with german proposals to stop the fight other than a total surrender.In fact AH was an asset of the allied to fight together. Freisler was himself a former bolchevic militant present in Moscow in 1918. Hitler knew this and used him.

@Gruenkreuz100 Diese Bombe war es mit Sicherheit wert, auch wenn durch die meisten unschuldige getötet worden sind... Ich bin ja absolout dagegen das Menschen Gefoltert oder auf sonst eine Weise entwürdigt werden, aber dieser dreckige Hurensohn von Freisler hätte es kurz vor SEINER Hinrichtung verdient, wenn man Ihn gezwungen hätte seine eigene Scheisse zu fressen oder sonst was getan hätte, damit er seelisch nochmal zusammenbricht, so wie der seine Perversionen ausgelebt hat.
