I've seen a LOT of mp3 players, and the more complicated they get the worse off they seem to be. The sansa express i got was like $30, not as good as free, but it works like a standard USB drive. The new one that supports video is great except for the fact that it does need it's special software to work. So, you win some, you loose some

Well, you can fix this, just find an old Software and JUST KEEP UPDATING IT.. Over and over..
itll work, then try to upgrade to 3.2

Zune's are strange pieces of equipment. Loose the DRM, get a sansa :)
