Cantonese is popular in Guang Zhou and Hong Kong, places in China ;) I can speak cantonese, and mandarin..but i mostly speak english cuz im in the US =]

@KenshinSensei Haha Yes I was in Hong Kong 4 times and I agree, cantonese is really hard... 9 tones I am told? I think it will continue like other spoken dialects all over China for street talk and as you say as a secret language amoung locals!

@Dragonzrkool88 and that's what makes these two languages so special lol. Cuz only cantonese - chinese ppl can speak cantonese (unless u learn, and as much as I want foreigners to learn canto it's rly hard. lol)

@snowcharm176 Me I speak Mandarin, English & German! I learn't a little Cantonese in Hong Kong, but only a little! haha like "6 bottles of beer for my friends" and "where is the best restraunt!", "how much?", "Too expensive!"and "Do you speak English or Mandarin?" That was enough to get by with! Btw. I love Hong Kong food! haha

Cantonese is like Hakka, they are almost a dead languages! He is best just singing in Mandarin or English! =P He may as well sing in Welsh! haha
