I agree that being proactive is crucial to success. Let there be some scope for criticism too. You can achieve a lot by being proactive. However, if you try to control events beyond your control, that is sabotage. It is known as perfectionism and perfectionism is harmful to success. For some events, we cannot do anything and they are beyond our control.
There are disadvantages of high internal locus of control:

Covey's Seven Habits are a simple yet powerful action plan to embark on a true journey of personal growth and performance improvement. As said in the video, the prerogative we all have to choose our responses encloses one of the key factors for achieving success and wellness. Also, our capacity to change our past (meaning the way we look at it), is what allows us to change our future.

It is hard to find a secure answer to success in my opinion. I like watching these videos to determine how I can apply some of these useful psychological information that can help me in my own ventures. Looking at how others have advanced can help me strive for my own success.
I love the be Proactive Principle, It seems so obvious after your aware. That single principle has changed my life. Thanks

i think at the start of a journey to reinvent ones self there is a period of difficult struggle... very difficult.. i think a lot of ppl (includin myself) get stuck here and then fall back to position 1. I think we all need to just put in all th effort to get past this stage. Just think "what can I do to make this goal/plan work, what can I do as an extra? just to help it work?"
then JUST DIVE INTO IT.. do what your suppose to not what you feel like doing.
