JEFF FREDERICK, VA state Senate candidate, on 630 WMAL

He may be Hispanic like his GOP primary opponent, but don't ask Virginia Senate candidate Jeff Frederick to debate his opponent in Spanish.

Frederick has declined the proposal by Colombian-born Tito "The Builder" Munoz to debate in Spanish. Munoz and Frederick are running for the same state Senate seat in northern Virginia.

"The General Assembly debates in English," Frederick said on the WMAL Morning Majority. " I don't know why we'd want to exclude the significant part of our community that doesn't speak Spanish or doesn't understand Spanish. If we're going to have a debate we need to have it in English."
