CELEBRITY TALK in association with Monet and the Impressionists.
Sarah Turnbull, author of Almost French
Sarah's popular travel memoir about an Australian girl in Paris struck a deep chord with Australian readers. Sarah's insights into French culture are revealing and engaging and tonight she reflects on the fascination with France and why Paris will always be home.
what on earth does she know about art? strange choice of speaker - lots of Australians have lived in paris - why not choose someone who knows about art...

The book " Almost french" in Czech language "Skoro francouzska" is such amazing story. I finished this book before one week, but I am sure, I will read it again. If somebody has tried to live in Paris and speak french, he or she must adore this book. Furthermore, it´s great feeling, that there is somebody who had the same problems with french girls, french habits etc.Good job SARAH!

I've just finished reading "ALMOST FRENCH"...... and that's how I found this video.... just like the writer of the previous response..... I highly recommend the book for people whose heart is beating for two countries.... I'm Hungarian, living in the USA with an American husband.... I could relate to a lot of things that were in the book.... Thanks Sarah for this wonderful book.....

After reading Sarah's book, Almost French, I wanted to know more and found this video. I think the observation that in France there is a blurring of art and life is so astute. I highly recommend her book.

Googling for Sarah I find she is in Sydney and no longer schmoozing around Paris trying to fit it and spending a lot of time whining (I wasn't a fan of her book) about hard to understand French customs.
Nevertheless I too have always liked the Musee d'Orsay and its Impressionist world one can escape to. Good topic but too much drivel Sarah.
