How to draw the symbolic lines on the Masonic Lodge Floor in less than one minute. Its a geometric exercise that you have already seen the parts of, but not how it fits together.

The floor represents the sphere of the earth bordered by space and every thing in it. The big circle is the heavens, the little one the earth.

Lines that concern us are the equator, the poles (90 degrees), 66.5 degrees- the arctic circle, 45 degrees (half 90), 30 degrees- the range of Mercury (the most eccentric planet) from the equator.

23.5 degrees- the range of the sun from the equator. The moon's range of 28.5 lies between these two. The larger of the two squares at the center is generated by the tropics and the 47 degree of the nutation circle.
