Today we are going to show you part number 28418T from Master Lock. What we have here is the easy adjustable ball mount that fits a 2 inch trailer hitch and is rated at 5,000 pounds. We will go ahead and install it in a 2 inch receiver hitch and show you how it works. We will go ahead and install this in our 2 inch receiver hitch. A couple real nice features about this is one, it is obviously adjustable. You can adjust it in quarter inch increments which makes it pretty easy to adjust actually. The nut on top is also 7/8 inch but also in the middle of it you can use a 3 square drive like you find on a common ratchet. You just stick it right in there and you can adjust it as so. You can also do this with the trailer engaged, too, so you can fine tune the height of your trailer. Now as you do it you can feel the actual notches in here. So when you get it at the right height it is going to hit that dent and not go anywhere after that.
This also uses a one tool torque ball. Which is a specialized ball from Masterlock that fits in here and will catch this pin. You only need one tool to tighten down the nut with. You can also use any standard hitch ball with this you are not limited to that. And also you can use this in the rise position too. Again you can adjust from the bottom side too. It also has a nob for the one tool option too. We will cover some more specs of this ball mount. First off the capacity of this ball mount is rated at 5,000 pounds total with a 500 pound tongue weight. The hole it self is going to be 1 inch in diameter. It will work with the 1 tool torque balls or any other ball from any other manufacture. The maximum rise is going to be 6 and 1/4 inches and the maximum will be 7 and 3/4 inches. There you have it for part number 28418T from Masterlock.
@applevalleyjoe If you visit our website, etrailer(dot)com, we have a big selection of adjustable ball mounts for 2 or 2 1/2 inch hitches. They have weight ratings that go up to 10000 lbs! Of course, you shouldn't exceed what the owner's manual on your car says that you are able to tow, so be sure to check that and stay within those limits.

Good idea. Do they make a higher load rating adjustable? Thanks.
