Kelis was around like a decade earlier. I love Gaga but Kelis has a completely different style. Furthermore, for those of you that are calling this "freaky", obviously listen to music that lacks honest expression or visual representations. She wrote this song as an homage to her child, listen to the lyrics, "before you, my whole life acapella", i.e. before her son, she felt alone. This is beautiful, unique art, not mundane, pseudo-individualized, mass-produced, commercialized shit.
