This is a video of Downshire Guiding Star during one of their visits to the main Lanark parade in Scotland. If anyone knows the exact year please let me know and I can change the title. Edit: it's 1986 or 1985
The video is just over 2hrs 30 mins in length so I am going to have to cut it down in places, there will still be quite a number of parts to cover as many of the bands as I can and as many of the faces that accompanied the band. Look out for Pride of the Raven and Broxburn along with a number of other Scottish bands taking part in the main parade.
Through the course of the parade Downshire grows in size as more members fall in. New bands and lodges join the ranks on the way to the main parade.
this is the morning parade in lanark before the main district parade in wishaw, the band are sounding amazing , i notice that in the 80s our bands generally played and marched alot faster than today, ps what about the white sport sox everyone is wearing
