  • Should all Buddhists, Taoists, and Confucianists in China convert to Christianity? No, I don't think so because that would make Buddhism a dead religion and the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama totally forgotten and the belief and doctrine of karma and reincarnation decline, especially Taoism and Confucianism and the belief and practice of Feng Shui. Buddhism, as well as Taoism and Confucianism means a lot to most Chinese. Perhaps Christianity, Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism should co-exist.

  • christianity brings white superiority complexes where ever it goes. china reject it!

  • @jimmyjamesWang People that are in a phase of devastation is very recipient of becoming theists from love bombing, but there are other plausible ways apart from the sick primitive ones in groups.

  • and if you guys look closely at the words and rhetoric of those who oppose Christianity in China. They too are NOT using the reasons people used in 50s to oppose Christianity, their reasons are surprisingly heavily influenced by the latest atheistic liberal ideals of the west.

  • In the 50s, religions was banned effectively because Chinese people in the 50s actually believes communism and atheism would solve their problems, they put their faith in this bran-new atheistic ideology after witnessing the power of the Soviet Union. Now it is different, China is once again emulating the west. And consequently the ban on religious in the 50s and the fall of communism creates a vacuum in our believe system, which is readily filled up by western believe system.

  • You people are still so caught up with the idea that we live in the 1930s where the struggle between government control and individual pursuits are still the main struggle of the society. This is not true. The chinese government has little power to stop or restrain Chinese Christianity at all, because the growth of Christianity was driven by the natural need for spirituality and ideology in China after communism and socialism failed.

  • But unlike me, the Trinity isn't a fusion of three things.

  • Your soul, spirit, and body are also distinct from one another, yet they are all you.

  • Funny, my understanding of the Trinity is that it's not an amalgam of three things as we humans are but the idea of 'one God in three persons'. Each of these three are distinct from one another.

  • "No need for good old animals have no souls christianity to invade. >.> "

Actually, animals do have souls (awareness of self) -- they don't have spirits (awareness of God). Plants don't have souls (or spirits) -- just bodies.
