It seems extraordinary that the public sector who serves the country are getting such a bashing. They dont get overtime pay and dont have gold plated pensions. You've gotta think if the public sector ie home care workers continue to be bashed then they will leave the jobs that they love and there will be no one to wipe your asses.

reality bites , the gravy train is grinding to a stop . labour has created in its decade in power a whole section of none jobs where an afternoons work is spread over a week ,where pen pushing idiots with no experience of the real world seeks to burden productive businesses with more cost and beaurocracy. in order to justify their exsistance , whole forest cut down to print thier bright ideas that dont work and no one pays any attention to. yes cut deep , cut fast and not before long

is it fair to say that private sector organizations such as private dentists are exempt from a lot of goverment policies and laws? For example public sector organizations have certain legal obligations they must adhere to. Is private sector orgs are exempt from certain polices or laws, could someone give an example. It would really help, thanks.

@liarpoliticians Ive worked in both and i prefer the private sector by far. Its more flexible, u get better working hours and its performance based. So if you work hard theres pleanty of opportunities for promotion and the harder you work the more money you get. In Public sector its not performance related and even if u work hard u can still get fired and theres little opportunity for promotions. The pay might be better but ull not become a millionaire.

Guys its not true just Check out with jobtardis.co.uk they have posted thousands and lakhs of jobs....just check out who looks to get a job in UK
-
@hjsman That's not true because public sector workers pay taxes too. It's still shrinking the tax base regardless of what you may think. A job is a job and the more people who work the bigger the tax base becomes.Where they work doesn't actually matter as long as they pay into the system and buy things. For all intents and purposes the money goes to the same place.
-
@crackmonster99 No, because the public job is 100% paid for by taxes which are levied on the private sector, hence a job will be lost but taxes will be saved.

Apart from the very rich; this capitalist system makes us all indentured servants to a 'System' invented by and controlled by those rich people who run banks, corporations & governments!
This 'System' CANNOT survive without DEBT...OUR Debt is the foundation of this system.
If you are in debt (no matter how small), then you are not in control of your own life, period!
How many poor or middle income people own even one of the basic necessities of life...Your OWN home?
cos a public sector job which isn't building roads, in the services, or in the judiciary is useful.

@SirOneoneselfandone I think you'll find the amount of management in the public sector is out of control. But as per usual, the people at the bottom will get the job losses, as the management WILL protect themselves from being fired.
To tackle the public sector deficit, there MUST be MASSIVE job losses - in MANAGEMENT. They cost the most in wages, they cost the most in pensions, they cost the most with perks. Axe management.
