SEPTEMBER IS CHILDHOOD CANCER AWARENESS MONTH.

Help eliminate cancer in children.

In this video there are 7 beautiful children who have fought or who are currently fighting different forms of cancer. 3 of these children have lost their battle with cancer, and the other 4 are still fighting. Please pray for all the children and their families and help them kick cancer's butt!
Here's a little bit about each child's story.

Layla Grace -- On Thursday, May 7th 2009, Layla's doctors had discovered a massive tumor extending from above her left kidney, around her side, over her belly and around her aorta. The disease had also permeated her bones. Layla was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma -- cancer. Layla fought cancer for 10 months before gaining her angel wings on 9th March 2010.

Braden - Braden was admitted to Children's Mercy on Friday, December 28, 2007 after a visit to the ER for abdominal pain. A CT scan determined that it was a solid mass, which doctors diagnose Neuroblastoma, a rare tumor found in infancy and early childhood. On 8-11-09 we Braden's cancer relapsed and there is no known cure for relapsing neuroblastoma. Braden has just celebrated his 6th birthday and is still fighting this terrible cancer. January 26, 2011, we heard the words we have prayed for since Braden's relapse...after his scans in Philly, Dr. Mosse told us that Braden's MIBG scan was completely normal and he shows no evidence of disease. Wednesday 31st August 2011: The results of Braden's scans at CHOP are all CLEAR! We've determined his next path of treatment to be ABT-751 and he will receive an initial dose today before coming home tonight.

Samantha - On October 21st 2005 Samantha was diagnosed with a childhood cancer called Neuroblastoma which affects under 100 children in the UK each year. Our beautiful Princess Samantha passed away on Tuesday April 15th 2008.

Taylor - On December 12, 2006 our 18 month old baby girl was hospitalized and diagnosed with stage IV, high risk neuroblastoma a deadly cancer with no known cure. She had a tumor on her left adrenal gland, a tumor behind each eye and disease in her bone marrow. We would now learn what a horrible, aggressive and relentless disease this is. Today Taylor has also developed chemo-induced leukemia and has recently undergone a bone marrow transplant. This little girl was fighting 2 forms of cancer. Mike and I were able to breathe a huge sigh of relief late Friday (26th August 2011) after hearing from Dr. Perez and Dr. Neri that all of Taylor's latest scans and biopsies are CLEAR! She is still showing No signs of the disease! Taylor started first grade on Monday 29th August 2011!!

McKenna - 20 month old Baby McKenna, who was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma on February 12, 2010. McKenna has had 6 rounds of Chemotherapy that shrunk her tumor 80%. Then McKenna had a 7.5 hr tumor resection surgery where the surgeon removed an amazing 97% of McKenna's remaining tumor. The amount of tumor that was removed was described as a softball, 2 golf balls and then some! Her next treatment was a Bone Marrow Transplant, 20 sessions of Radiation and then an investigational protocol for Immunothearpy/ Antibody treatment.
As of April 2011 McKenna's remaining tumor in her abdomen measures 16.8×21.1 mm! We are in the process of deciding the next step of treatment.
As of July 2011 McKenna has been approved for surgery at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital in New York City NY. We are currently awaiting a date for this surgery to remove the remaining tumor.

Kate -- On June 29 2009 I noticed that a slight tremor in Kate's right hand over the past three days had notably worsened. to Phoenix Children's Hospital for a stat CT of Kate's head. Rather 3 people came out to tell me that our little Kate had a large mass on her brain. Kate underwent a craniotomy with tumor resection on July 3rd, 2009. They unfortunately were only able to remove 50% of the tumor due to it's location. On February 1st, 2011, we received the devastating news that 2 new tumors were found on the MRI. We are now battling recurrent, metastatic brain cancer. Our options are much more limited this time, and the battle much more difficult.

Ellie - Our innocent, kind and sweet Ellie (a twin), at six years old has are rare pediatric stage 4 (Rhabdomyosarcoma) cancer in her trunk and lungs. I found a hard lump in her pelvis area on the evening of July 2, 2008 while powdering her before bedtime. Ellie was an inspiration to many and kicked cancers butt - Remission in June 2009. Sadly, less than 3 months later (September 2009), Our Ellie is back where we began with tumors in her lungs and the same tumor in her abdomen growing again. Ellie gained her angel wings on 23rd June 2010.

  • Such a true video. It's heartbreaking... very well done!

RIP to those that have gained their angel wings, stay strong and keep fighting to those who are still with us on this earth.

This video is wonderful, and I totally agree with it. Cancer needs to be cured, someone has to find a way! I keep praying and I hope other do too!

again, love the video! I'll put it on my channel, if you don't mind, to do a little part of spreading the word

  • @HarrysGirlForLife i don't mind. the more people that see this video the better

  • I lost my closest cousin to Lymphoma last year, and he was 6. I'm so happy that people make these videos because people need to be aware. Why instead of everything being Susan G. Komen breast cancer awareness, why not childhood cancer for a change?

  • @horseybebe316 yea, well I'm pretty sure no parent let alone any peds doctor will allow a child to use marjuania. So going by that I'm guessing your a regular user of it so do get high and leave this video. These children are on enough drugs as it they don't need this.

  • @horseybebe316 I will NOT keep my insight to myself. Thank you very much. It is true that I do not know what childhood cancer survivors have to go through, as I have never had cancer nor do I have a Doctorate in Medicine. I do know about the healing properties of cannabis though; as it applies to a large number of diseases & illnesses. I wrote my comment to those that have an open mind and might listen. My guess is...you are not one of them.

  • @a4nak8r yea ok, keep your ideas to yourself you have no idea what we go through me as a childhood cancer suvivor. unless you have ure MD I wouldn't listen to a thing you said about treatment

  • @horseybebe316 Now that it is Breast Cancer month I just see more and more stuff walks and everything. I'm hoping next year to do something to raise money and spread awerness like a concert or anything that will help. I didn't think about it until the last week of Sept mom my told me if it means that much to you do something about it. I happy to hear you and the kids are all cancer free and I hope you guys all remain cancer free. I hope your article was published too!!!

  • @GreenDayisAmazing this is 100%. I am a childhood cancer survivor I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia when I was 13 now I'm 22. Its disgusting how society only cares about one thing. I've seen the good, bad of childhood cancer. 2 babies who went to my clinic the girl was born with a brain tumor and a boy was born with adult leukemia. Both are survivors now 7-8years old. I've written an article hopefully it will be published in the next week.Make people aware make them wake up

  • I didn’t even know childhood cancer awareness month existed until about 2 years ago. Now I find it sad that during the month of September not a single store or place I went to was raising money for these kids. Instead I would walk in a store and see everything pink, cookies, chips, cereal they were all raising money for breast cancer month in September the stores would also see those $1 card things for breast cancer. Breast Cancer is important to but I think kids are important too. =(

  • For all the parents that have a child with cancer, my heart goes out to you. I beg you not to buy into big pharma's idea of treating your child. Research the healing and curing of cancer with cannabis. Watch the videos "Run from the Cure". You (and your child) will be happy you did.

  • @GrowingUpAtheist Iknow!

  • Awww ((:
