A kit beer only.... I'm new to this game, but this turned out to be by far the best beer I've made to date. I'm now up to my tenth brew!

  • Hi i really like your home made brewery beer , i live in Thailand and not quite understand all those ingredients that you have shown on the VDO , could you please list all the ingredients for me ? appreciate your help thanks chalit9999@gmail.com

  • @ponyproject1 Which ingredients? Spray Malt, Hops and am all-malt kit bought from The Home Brew Shop (google it - for some reason I can't post a link)

  • Great vid! It was informative to watch your process, especially since I'm looking to brew an IPA next. I've got a question for you: where'd you get that widemouth carboy you use for fermenting?

  • @wrecksdart My fermenter is from the old Coopers starter kit. Getting the lid off at the end is a bit of a pain and you can't disassemble the tap to properly clean it.

  • Wow really great and encouraging video. Very enjoyable to watch.

Can't wait to get my first kit.

    Cheers.

  • @ahjaysusno Thanks! I was inspired by craigtube - highly recommend his videos, far more professional than mine!

  • @mgutkowski Hmm--I've been trying to find a similar setup: keg-style HDPE vessel with a wide mouth to allow for easy cleaning, clear screw-on lid with airlock plug and some sort of handles. That's too bad to hear about the tap, but maybe you could ease the lid issue by glue-gunning ridges on it for extra grip?

  • @familymack It was between 4.5 and 5%, I forget. The calculation is as follows:

    (final reading - initial reading) / 7.45

Then add 0.5% if priming for carbonation

  • Great video, what did you work out the alcohol level to be? And how do you work it out? Subtract your second reading from your first?
