While it is a little difficult to understand Mr. Manivong, he is correct. Laos is a very safe, friendly, inexpensive and awesome tourist destination. I was there in May, to meet my in-laws for the first time. We traveled quite a bit and I was continuously amazed by what I saw and how incredibly friendly the people (even complete strangers) were to me. I love Laos and will be going back in about 3 years. If you get a chance, I highly recommend you experience Laos for yourself.
