Look on the local, national, and international scale, and you see a humanitarian disaster in the making.
-NY State projects 47 billion dollar deficit, equivalent to 940k civil servant jobs (more than NYS has.
-Spain, Greece, Argentina, Venezuela, Greece, UK, US, and even Austria (one of the wealthiest nations) about to default.
-USA already hit debt ceiling.
This is the biggest collapse waiting to happen in the history of mankind!

You are right in regards to the mayan calendar. Its continues to collapse, and like 'Gerald Celente says...the money system will collapse by 2012, and to buy gold, silver etc.'. Also, to stock up on food & water, and be self sufficient.

Inflation in the commodities market is killing the economy.
Investment in resources kill consumers of resources.
Especially if the money had recently been printed.
