Real Canadians talk about their Healthcare

In the spirit of truth, Matte Black (@Shoq on Twitter) and his brother took their video camera to Canada on vacation to interview Canadians about their health care system.

He was asked to try to get negative views with specifics for balance. Here is the result. It has been edited for brevity, but the negative views were not removed, because there were none. He could not find one Canadian who thought they should kill the system.

These are everyday people. They have no agenda at all other than being patriotic Canadians.

RagnarTheNerd Actually, my bff from high school spoke to me last year about her experience in Canada as an American tourist. She experienced acute abdominal pains & was taken to ER. Canadian ER triaged & diagnosed her with early stages Ovarian Cancer, and cured her with complete hysterectomy/oophorectomy surgery. She was allowed to recover in hospital until she was able to fly back to Oregon with her husband. They left Canada with NO MEDICAL BILLS.

All we hear about in America is how horrible your healthcare is, of course its suprising the amount of media that originates from the Republican Party.

In USA my bill for 1 night hospital stay was... 40 000 dollars. As a person coming from Europe, I was SHOCKED. That amount is simply absurd and unpayable. I am not paying a cat scan that costs 8,000 dollars. Would you?!?
