The South African Lions, South Africa's national Australian Rules Football (AFL) team (formerly Buffaloes) doing some "circle work" on the morning of Friday 22nd August at the Village Green Oval (opposite the Junction Oval) in Albert Park, St Kilda. They are training in preparation for their historic Saturday 23rd match against an Australian-African selection at Gosch's Paddock (Collingwood Football Club's training ground), corner Punt Road and Swan St Richmond at 10:30am before taking on 15 other nations in the International Cup between 27 August and 6th September in Melbourne and Warrnambool.

Well they definitely have some pace but i really hope it was wet because the ball handling skills were pretty low (well mostly gathering the ball)

looks a bit wet and slippery out there .... must be rainy in melbourne at the moment. they look like they have some genuine pace but the skills don't seem to have improved by much over 2005 and if the tournament is mostly wet weather i think they're gonna struggle.
