Having easy access to medical treatment is taken for granted in many parts of the developed world.

But, in poorer communities the doctor-patient ratios are higher, and are often complicated by long distances.

In Bangladesh, tele-medicine is allowing patients in remote parts of the country to receive medical attention sooner.

As part of Al Jazeera's Global Good Practices series, Nicolas Haque reports from Rangpur.
