I was never in a crew with Noel, but I was definitely a fan, just like most of us Puerto Ricans in NYC. And if there were more cameras in the scene, you would have seen me his performances at 1018 doing my thing. Freestyle plays a major role in the NYC dance scene and had a major impact on the lives and parties in my part of town.

My comment on here wasn't to put any one down. It was just to point out a mistake by who ever posted 1981 on the title of the video.

With all due respect, but there's no way that the video can be from 1981. There's someone wearing a Shark Grey and Bold Blue "Red Swoosh Nike windbreaker". I wasn't sure of the release date of that jacket, so I called my peeps at Nike, before I posted this.

Is there any way that you can post that video with the music that was playing while the dancing was going on. That would be another confirmation of the possible date of the video?

Likewise, I also will say this is NOT 1981. No disrespect. Overall, great video. I wish I could find any video of my crew back in the day, The Supreme Rockers, 82 - 85. 1st off, the brothah wearing the body suit with the racer stripes was the dead give away. Nobody was rockin' that in 1981. Plus, the Adidas gear design was two years later. In 81, Adidas pants still had flares. How about somewhere between 1983 to 85?

Word up. I'm all for documentation and historical footage, but back in those days 2 to 3 years is a big difference. I'm not from the east coast and I wasn't breakin in 1981, but from being a student of the culture you can tell it's not from 81 all the way down to the style of gear worn. If anyone comes on and confirms that it is indeed from 81, I'll retract my words. But either way respect to Dynasty Rockers for sure...
