  • RIP Maggie.

    10 October 1997 - 6 July 2009.

    Cancer of the mouth.

  • i owned a fox terrier and she was put down a year ago when she ruptured 3 vertabrate in her back from me holding her up by her frisbee.

  • Yikes, I'm really sorry about your loss! How old was she? Maggie will be ten this October, and though she refuses to act her age, your message really makes me stop and think. She just had her annual physical and the vet was very pleased with her overall condition, but I'm gonna now give him a call and find out what he thinks of that kind of activity. Sorry to bring up such an unhappy memory.

  • you actually brought up a lot of good ones seeing that video.. ive had wired haired fox terriers all my life for the very reason that they refuse to act ther age. i think its great how happy they are when they get a chance to play and i want to make sure you are more careful than i was. congrats on owning the best breed of dog on the planet:)

  • We have had several dogs over the years, loved each and every one , but Maggie has made us laugh more than all of the others combined. We watched the Westminster show this week, and tho the wire fox did not figure, they did mention, and we were gratified, that this breed is the all-time leader in best of shows, 13 in all, and they ran a photo stream of all those winners. I hope you saw it, and am really glad your memories are positive. Maggie came from Ohio - where do you get your puppies?

  • I'm really sorry about your loss! too. I have herd of a simller stoy of a dog rupturing vertabrate from a rope toy.

  • panzano will also survive this,

  • I live in Fl and purchased my most recent one from Georgia. Her name ironically enough is "Georgia" ive had them all my life had one named Ralph growing up that actually knew how to climb a 6 foot chain link fence. Ralphie would run around the neighborhood digging holes in the neighbors yard or chasing squirrels but somehow managed to climb back over the fence and into the back yard before my dad got home. Hilarious dog.. its no wonder they are so liked by the WKC ..lol
