Good for Barack Obama. And good for the democrats for having the discipline to see to it that millions of uninsured Americans have access to affordable health care in the next few years. Republicans should hate this because they will never recover from universal opposition to a bill that will eventually be extremely popular. You are so on the wrong side of history republicans, it's downright tragic watching your party in its final path to irrelevancy.

Wages are low because labor has no rights. Regan ignored laws protecting labor, such as those protecting unions. This is what destroyed the middle class in both the US and UK.

You know if you really actually thought about it, you'd realize something that people like me have realized years ago, that illegal labor is the reason why American wages are so low...but corporate America should also share a lot of the blame because it's their fault for hiring illegal immigrants and keeping wages low...but that is no excuse for illegal labor because if we didn't have it in the first place, then Americans would have higher pay and wages...logically, reasonably, and rationally...

No offence, but what you propose is illogical if you want to eliminate poverty in this country and be like Europe, but you want to give illegal immigrants citizenship which will continue poverty because they are from third world countries with the average of a 4th grade education, people with their educational attainment and country of origin rarely, if ever, assimilate and contribute in the decline of poverty rates in this country, if fact, they would raise poverty rates...
