the first time i went to see joe my dad took me 2 years ago. was at the renfrew ferry in scotland. i never knew what he looked like and was familiar with only a few on his songs. 75 people turned up that night! i stood with my pint right in from of him for the whole night. playing an arms length away. will never forge it! peace

I saw Joe in Denver this past winter. It was the first time he ever sold out a show in Denver. He said the first time he played in Denver that 5 people showed up and he still played the full set. What a great guy and performer.

I know that we can't say who's best, but if you know a guitarist who blows you away - don't let this stop you from putting in a claim for your favourite. That's the great thing about the Internet - new talent to check out. I'd never really heard much from Eric Johnson - he was just one of those talents I missed out on. there are some good Russian bluesmen - check out Wolf Mail in Moscow (I know HE's not Russian). They've got the boxers, the footballers - they'll have the guitarists next.

The version on "So, It's Like That" is different, but this version is basically the same on the "Rockpalast" DVD. You can also get it from ITunes on the "Shepherds Bush" album. You have to download the whole album to get it, but it's worth it. 5 tracks and 50 minutes of music for $4.
