Desarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration in Ituri, Dem. Rep. of the Congo 2004/5

Working for UNDP/BCPR, I produced this video about the DDR process in war-torn Ituri district in the Dem. Rep. of the Congo in 2004/5. It features the establishment of desarmament and demobilisation transit sites for ex-combattants - including many child soldiers - from a variety of illegal armed groups, the first arrivals on the sites and the struggle to kick-start the community re-integration process of the former fighters.
