Low compression 2 strokes are easy to kick over, but not necessarily to start. Alans TS250 proved to be such a machine. Both he and Dione had to strip off there riding gear to cool down after trying to kick start the TS and eventually got it going by push starting it. Not a good look outside the Route 66 diner.

  • I am pleased to report that both men and machines are in fine health with minimal use of kick starting now requiring gym membership for the lads! Its amazing what a good tune up can do.

  • next time bump start it.

  • @FrenchRevenge It's called clean the plugs and check the gap.

  • These bikes are easy to kick over and you've got boots on!

  • your not supposed to keep gassing it when you are trying to start it. that's called flooding.

  • CHRIST!!! no teeth left on the X7's kickstart, they look like novices to me, they're gonna wreck them classics, shame.

  • Old or not, if they are mechanicaly ok, it shouldn't take this hustle ;-)

  • They are only not easy to start if you don't look after them mechanically. I have a 74 GT380 and it always starts first kick. Very nice bike though, maybe some new points, condensor and plug would make it easier to start.
