A Hydraulic Hybrid BMW built by Artemis Intelligent Power in Edinburgh. This vehicle has none of the disadvantages of traditional electric hybrids, with fuel savings on the highway and when driving aggressively. The hybrid transmission can regenerate energy from more agressive braking because there is none of the traditional charging rate issues that other electric-hybrids have.

  • wow. No battery system! I wonder what the limits and life span of this system is. Safe? Safe to work on? This is going to change the world.

  • The hydraulic system is much cheaper, less complicated and lighter than an electric hybrid system.UPS has been using this system for several years & it has saved them a fortune in fuel & the emissions it produces. No electric motors and no battery packs. It doesn't run out of power and leave you stranded.

Power stations can be hydroelectric, nuclear, wind farms... And even gas or coal-fired plants produce energy far more efficiently than vehicle engines, otherwise electricity would be as expensive as gasoline.

  • Electric vehicles still have emissions, but instead of coming from a tailpipe they come from the smoke stack of the power station.
