  • The 45s play on it because of a 45 play kit that was available as a retro fit, I think they were made by Bantam. It replaces a pulley and the drive belt I believe. From what I have been told this also slows the mech by the same percentage as changing the platter speed from 78 to 45.

  • Your ipod is a piece of crap!

  • I owned one back in '92 and have regretted ever since. I had redone the amplifier. There's nothing like an old rock and roll record playing from the jukebo...

  • I have the model c with the blue rings. 45s can be tricky when fitting into these rings, I have broke a couple. I have snapped all the blue rings and that makes the fitting of 45s easier. The beauty of a 40 cut player is that it compels you to change the 45s more often.

  • I always loved the bass that juke boxes seemed to have. Awesome machine and sooooooo gentle to the records

  • I can tell those singles are on "oldies reissue" labels. To me, their advantages are that both sides are almost always hits and are in better condition than the original pressings, but they have limited collector appeal even in NM condition (though it makes it cheaper to acquire those records).

  • can you tell me how the mechanism of picking up the record vertically and putting it horizontally on the turntable works?

  • I think that's the factory kit. it was the blue rings, a new cam and tonearm, and the turntable mods. It works _very_ well, if set up right.

The mech's a tad sluggish. They weren't remarkably fast when new, but a bit peppier than that. The later 45-only ones flip out the record much faster, esp the Rowe ones.

  • I owned one about 15 yrs ago and have regretted ever since. It had also been retro fitted. After I had the amp redone...the sound was amazing.

  • That mechanism should change much faster than that. Try replacing the 50+ year old selenium rectifier assembly in the junction box with a silicon diode bridge available for less than $5 at electronics supply sources. I think even Radio Shack carries them. Some have a nice hole in the center to make mounting it easy.

  • Hi How did you get your Juke to run at 45?

Thanks for any help that you can give me

  • hey i have the same jukebox and i also have the blue rings to make it a 45 player
