This is so good, that i cannot understand why it took me so long to find it. I have listened to Vicky Carrs 1960s hits now and again, over the years, I am 62, but i have only just realised what a talent she is.

LOVE this combination of songs. It reminds me of the the Carpenters' Bacharach/David medley with "Make it Easy On Yourself" and "Knowing When to Leave."

Linda mujer y voz excepcional.

The famous and talented Vicki Carr. Trully represented the latin woman. Good work! I admire her voice, beautiful singer

GREAT SONG! and the 3 best versions i've heard of this song are of course original dionne, but also vikki and karen carpenter! all 3 are beyond moving and beautiful!

@Randymanme1 It might have been Bernadette Peters...she had that out around 74 or 75

She lives in San Antonio now...still performs..If you see her at the grocery store or in a restaurant ..she loves to hear from her fans...A down to earth latina !!

Wow..what a beautiful and very talented woman fabulous voice. Wish we had talent like this today..Love you Vikki

There are no words.... Incredibly moving. I am in tears.
Did Vikki ever record this in the studio? Thanks for sharing.

man, i can listen to her all day long!
WHY, WHY, WHY was this never released as a single? Guess Columbia records (her label at the time) just didn't know what a talent they had. Too bad for them and for us. I remember seeing Carr on the Tonight Show after she taped this. She said she cried when she saw the play back. What a talent, what a voice and what control. I could listen to this all day long. And yes, the tears and the emotion are real. No wonder she has had such a varied and prolific career. Thanks Yoryi for sharing.

Seems like talent is not the only criteria for being recognized by the public. Alas, no stays at Betty Ford, no sex scandals or dating famous people. Shes quite nice to her fans. Bet she even pays her bills on time. Also remember that during the 60s and 70s record companies didnt value their girl singers much. So what we are left with is an amazingly talented and charitable lady practicing her craft STILL.
