I found this gem on my hard drive. Where I got it from is a mystery. It's credited to Bob & Earl, who of course had a hit with it, but is it?
Can you help solve the mystery, about who it is I mean, not the one about how it got on my hard drive, although if you know, that would be nice too.
Thanks.
Dave

  • Could well be. Jackie Lee and Earl Nelson are one and the same.

  • the best version by VIGON "in vigon le retour"

  • This version came out on Trip as Bob and Earl as a 45, i think is a original it as a nice stamp on it anyway,it's on my youtube channel with picture.

  • Jackie Lee

  • Not Bob and Earl. sounds good

  • This is not Bob & Earl, it's Johnny Roger's version of the song.

For whatever reason he recorded it under the title 'Make A Change'. You can buy it on U.K. iTunes as a track on Disc 2 of the compilation "The Northern Soul Experience".

I have heard it suggested that this was the original version of the song, though I doubt that this is true. It is a much better version though, harder and more street wise.

  • absolutely brilliant never heard this version before.

  • wow this is a really excellent version well done
