low impact harvesting of sugar maple, skidding with small tractor and sawing on small portable sawmill. The lumber will be dried and then used to manufacture a dining room table.

  • why do you all not use the log scale?i had one of the turner mills,and the log scale is very easy to use.the scale will work from 7/8" to about 16" if i remember right.

  • @sawingdummie Basically the project manager wanted to be very precise and had not worked with this particular mill before so he wanted to measure every cut.

  • i would like to see you maybe cut down a dead standing or fallen tree instead of a live one, unless you will be building in the spot you cut it down...
