It's also got a few similarities to Plant Man's theme, of course.

Slah Man is probably my favorite boss from the whole series. He had the coolest weapon. (and he looks like a Super Saiyan, as if that wasn't obvious, but the funny thing is that Slash Man came long before DBZ had Super Saiyans)

Also, you could throw a mask on his face, put him in an X game, and call him "Ripclaw Slashrex" or other some such nonsense and no one would notice. he is basically the prototype for every anthro Mavrick in the X series.
