@SpadeAce90 Ever seen the Nutcracker fantasy? The Ragman would terrify you for life.

something about this music scares me
like some evil santa or clown is going to pop out under my bed and eat me

@chronDiggity OOOOOR!!!!!
Maybe cause you hear it in ''Home alone''... And we all know that ''Home alone'' goes on tv only during holidays... =)
-
@chronDiggity Another reason it has been ascociated with Christmas may be because of the name "Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy" and the line from the classic story Twas the Night Before Christmas which reads "The children were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of sugarplums danced in their heads". Just a thought ^_^

@chronDiggity Because advertisers, dorks and assorted lame dooshwagons are bound and determined to bastardize it. But I refuse to let them ruin it for me. Also, people who use this for "the holidays" only listen to 3 seconds of it, the part with the bells. Their lives, and the way they celebrate "the holidays" tends to be artificial, contrived, shallow, conformist and token. Hope that helps.

@Bayonettaloquendo1 only a touch too fast. The Fantasia version is too slow
Why do I hear this at Christmas all the time?

@chronDiggity The music Tchaikovsky composed for "The Nutcracker" from which this comes has a "holiday feel" to it so I would imagine that is why.
