nudgler......he donates enough of his own money,through various charities,in 2005 and 2010,the gigs at croke park dublin,6 shows in total.u2 gave the gate reciepts to the local childrens hospital...and as for global poverty he does and donates a hell of a lot more than anyone i can think of...and do you really think our taxes help the poorest of us..i dont think so...give credit where credit is due..

@nudgler Yes very true HOWEVER, he takes that money and places it where it is needed most ! taxes help the poor and Millions of lazy arses who just dont want to work and eat of working peoples money..so instead he takes that money and puts it into Africa where everyone in that country is in need ! regardless..He does what many Famous rich people dont do, and its his choice to do so...he could simply take all the money and not give a rats ass !

When he wants to attack politicians he stands up and says it like it is. But when ppl snap at him for apparently being a foreign resident to avoid being fleeced by the Irish gov, he releases a carefully crafted statement through "a spokesman".

He's probably earned about £100m in his life, for him to give away half of that isn't nearly as much of a sacrifice as a person on £250 a week giving away £125 a week.
