Mission Statement for ROOTS: Although they may greatly differ, each and every one of us are blessed with roots. Throughout our lives, our choices often reflect where we're from. As we continue to fight to surpass our struggles, we fight for the right to make change. And although we may change where we're going, we can't change where we ...came from. But our passion to fight is born from our roots. And the fight is what represents our compassion, our courage, our hope. The fight is what represents our humanity. As we fight together, with the families we're given, and the families we've chosen, we create justice at our own hands. Uprise 2 is the dance, the song, the word, the art of this justice, this fight, this humanity, these R.O.O.T.S. - Uprise 2 is about the Remembrance of Our Timeless Strengths.
