@1401JSC The new Dean is doing a lot of work on the Cathedral now - they are taking out the pews and replacing them with chairs, and building new extensions onto the Treacy Hall (which is a nice building).

I'm not sure if any of the lay clerks from the 50's and 60's are still with us. Our organist, who has been with us for 30 or 40 years has just retired. The services are still high church.

Where on earth did you find the resonant acoustic in this great but dry cathedral?

The St Mark's chapel behind the high altar is probably the most resonant space, but you're in front of the altar....
