@txmomoftwo1 Aw 8D My green one loves water. If we have him out and a water cup with a straw, he'll try to stand on the ice. If you don't have the ice, and instead are blowing bubbles, he'll get in, but won't if there's no ice or bubbles. It's the weirdest thing! :D
@Gazuntiteable its hysterical listening to my budgies sometimes. they will take a word or a phrase from what i say and will take turns repeating it over and over, like Barry, my albino budgie heard my husband say "Mama said its time for bed", so Barry replied, "Mama said? Silly bird!!!"
@txmomoftwo1 Yuppers. My bird loves my dad's beard, so he'll sing to it, and will go on and at least mimic the tone of "I love you" "Pretty bird" and "Bird bird bird", because sometimes if he gets all excited, I go "Hi bird bird bird" He also loves imitating his laugh. It's adorable, sometimes our other one will hear him sing it, so then she'll copy him from copying us. And whenever we spread our arms open, he sings. Oh gosh, I wish I could record it. I love parakeets ^^
@XxNic0s411xX my nanday conure will tell people she does not like to their faces that they smell like ass or that they smell like buttsauce and that buttsauce is poop.
@Gazuntiteable i have four myself, 2 males, 2 females. they all talk up a storm. its hysterical. its hard to the untrained ear to know when a budgie is speaking though because they speak very fast and are extremely random. it sounds somewhat like a radio with the tuner knob being turned. you just have to acknowledge them the whole time you are in the room with them, talk to them constantly. they learn quicker when you include them then praise them when they repeat your word or words.
haa i thought my budgie was the only one that talks like this lol
