This video features Street Sense newspaper, a homelessness empowerment project in Washington, D.C., where vendors profit from selling the paper as opposed to panhandling. The paper features works by those experiencing homelessness. Street Sense also uses the paper to raise awareness of the day-to-day challenge of those experiencing homelessness through its "Vendor for a Day" program. This video was created from the 2009 Freshmen Service Trip of the Concord University Bonner Scholars Program.
