Lord Elgin wanted to find some ancient Greek statues to decorate his mansion in Scotland.He decide to take the statues of the Parthenon frieze.So in order to take the frieze, Elgin had to get workmen to saw the frieze off the building. It also involved destroying parts of the building in order to lower the sculptures to the ground.He took about half of the frieze and other sculptures from the Parthenon.
*The marbles should all be in the same place. They were created in Athens, so they should be on display in Athens.
*The British Museum has not looked after the Marbles as well as they say they have. In the 1930s the Marbles were cleaned and this cleaning damaged the surface of the Marbles.

Όπως και νά 'χει τα μάρμαρα θα μαρτυρούν δύο πράγματα. Τον ελληνικό πολιτισμό και την βαρβαρότητα αυτών που τα έκλεψαν και τα κρατούν.

Η ομορφια ολων αυτων δεν περιγραφεται!
Και αν σκεφτεις την δυσκολια με την οποια φτιαχτηκαν και την ηλικια τους αυτο τα κανει ακομα πιο πολυτιμα!

αξιζει το μουσειο μονο που λειπουν δυστυχως ακομα αυτα που πηρε ο λορδος ελγιν. οι κωλοαγγλοι δεν λενε να τα δωσουν πισω.τι εφτιαχναν οι ανθρωποι.

μην τα περιμενετε πισω τα μαρμαρα,δεν ειναι θεμα αγγλων αλλα εβραιων, και οι εβραιοι θελουν να καταστρεψουν την Ελλαδα,με τιποτα δεν θα αφησουν οι μπασταρδοι να ερθουν τα μαρμαρα στην θεση τους,κοιταχτε την αληθεια καταματα,αν ηταν θεμα αγγλων τωρα τα μαρμαρα θα 'ταν εδω.
