Actually, this airplane is a Cozy designed by Nat Puffer and it is a derivitive of the Long-EZ designed by Burt Rutan. Lot's of canard airplane videos on You Tube just search for Canard or Long-EZ

I think its a Velocity XL. Similar to Burt Rutan designed vari-ez or long-ez, except the Velocity aircraft has a cabin, while the Vari/long-ez have bubble canopies. SO, while similar, it is NOT a Rutan aircraft. BTW, I've been doing alot of reasearch into building one, so I'm sure.

I've seen several of those fly over Virginia!

Careful! looks like it might have a blind spot when merging into traffic while it taxis down the highway at 100 mph...

i saw this in the sky today

Velocity's are great. We have one stationed at HEF and I see it fly all the time.

this is not a velocity, it's a cozy Mk. 3 designed by Nat Puffer. Very similar aircraft. Velocity provides kits, Cozy is scratch built.
