@Flamorgan No problem man, glad to help. However, let me tell you one thing. You may have gotten a lemon.. I've had a 900 Cabrio, a 99' 9-3, a 2001 9-3 SE, a 2003, 2007 and now a 2011 Saab 9-3. The only repair I've had to do on any was the brake pads and an occasional switch or something similar giving out. They're brilliant cars, you just have to take care of them. Good luck.

@Flamorgan GM did take Saab's technologies and rebuild them, marketing them as different brands. Obviously the Vauxhall parts were backwards compatible. The 900 had nothing to do with the Vectra. GM had very little to do with Saab during the 900/9000 phases. GM took over when the 9-3 and 9-5 became the 900 and 9000's replacements, respectively. That's when GM started sharing and swapping parts.

@Flamorgan GM owned about 10% of Saab at the time the 900's were being built. GM took over in 2000, and the 9-3 started in '99. All technologies, platforms and parts of the 900 were made by Saab, for Saab. None of these are rebadged Vauxhalls, they are merely sharing platforms between Saab, Opel, and a few others; specifically the Epsilon Platform. Otherwise, the engine, interior, body panels and general designs of Saab. GM merely funded Saab during it's ownership. No parts are Vauxhall.
